About
ME EV JACK
Who are you?
I’m Jack Tinegate, but you can call me EV JACK! Based in Nottinghamshire, I’m a passionate electric vehicle enthusiast and a rising YouTuber. My mission is to make the world of electric vehicles accessible and enjoyable for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned driver or just beginning to explore the EV landscape.
What inspired you to start your YouTube channel?
I’ve always been fascinated by YouTube and how people utilise it to express their interest. Growing up, I was quite shy, and my confidence was low, so I spent years behind the camera, working in video editing and music production for others. However, at 28, I decided to face my fears and turn the camera on myself. I wanted to share my thoughts on electric vehicles, a subject I’m incredibly passionate about, and connect with others who share that interest.
What milestones have you achieved since starting your channel?
In just one month of launching my channel, I reached an incredible milestone: partnering with EVDANCE, an innovative EV charger company. This partnership was a huge validation for me and a testament to the potential of my content. Additionally, I hit an impressive milestone of 750 subscribers within that timeframe, something I never thought possible with just a few videos. The positive feedback I’ve received about my thumbnail designs and video editing skills has been genuinely motivating and encourages me to keep creating high-quality content.
What type of content do you create?
I primarily focus on EV review and driving videos. My style is straightforward and relatable; I discuss what really matters to my audience—speed, price, comfort, and tech. I believe in transparency, so if I wouldn’t buy a car or product, I won’t recommend it to my subscribers. My goal is to keep my content informative yet fun, avoiding technical jargon that can be overwhelming or boring. I want my viewers to feel empowered with the essentials, so they can make informed decisions without getting bogged down in unnecessary details.
What are your future aspirations for EVJACK?
I have big dreams for EVJACK! I aim to take my channel global, traveling to various countries to review exciting EVs and cutting-edge electric technologies. I envision myself at auto shows, testing out the latest models, and bringing my audience along for the ride. My hope is to inspire others to embrace electric vehicles and to showcase the incredible advancements in this rapidly evolving industry.
How do you engage with your audience?
Engagement is crucial for me! I love interacting with my audience through comments and feedback on my videos. I make a conscious effort to respond to comments, as I truly value the input and suggestions from my viewers. Additionally, I participate in several EV Facebook groups, where I can connect with fellow enthusiasts, share insights, and learn from others’ experiences. Creating content based on my audience’s suggestions helps them feel involved and appreciated, fostering a strong community around EVJACK.
What are your personal interests outside of electric vehicles?
Beyond electric vehicles, I’m a creative individual who enjoys making music, video editing, and web design. My creative side might stem from my ADHD, which gives me a unique perspective and energy that I channel into my projects. Fitness is also a priority; I believe that maintaining a healthy body supports a healthy mind. I try to hit the gym regularly, and I value socialising, making it a point to meet up with friends at least once or twice a week. Spending quality time with family is equally important, as they provide a strong support system in my life.
What makes your channel unique?
What sets my channel apart is my commitment to providing direct, relatable content that cuts through the noise. I focus on the essential questions that viewers really care about: How quick is it? How comfortable is it? Is it cool? I deliberately steer clear of technical jargon because, honestly, I find it boring! My goal is to make the world of electric vehicles approachable and fun, ensuring my audience can easily understand what matters most.
